I need to plant more lily's!

I have seen several gorgeous lily's lately, I definitely think I need to incorporate them into our landscape. I also attended a gardening class by Denny Warrenfeltz of Roostervane Gardens. He has a white garden at his home, and it is truly inspiring! Oh, the wheels are turning :-)

Ain't love "Grand?"

Our little Mohnsters are very lucky indeed. They have three Grandparents that love them to death and spend a lot of time spoiling them. I think they know they are well loved! Ain't love "Grand"? Indeed!

For My Spirit

I have been trying to stop neglecting the spirit part of me that has been pretty empty for a long time. I have a small list on my desk to remind me. Read. Write. Photograpy. Walk in the Woods. Ritual. Learn to Sew. Make a naturalized Garden on the back of the property. Make Faerie Furniture. Today it was Photography. Ahhhh, now doesn't that feel better?

Pant, Pant, Pant

No, they aren't fitting better, but I got my butt on the treadmill with Allison Krauss and Union Station. You try walking to
"Cluck Old Hen" :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDZ9PN5K06Q
and see if you don't pant, pant, pant when you're done. One mile in 28 minutes. WooHoo!

Blogging. Take Two.

Ok, So I started this blog over three years ago. Sad, I know. It's funny because when I am not at the computer I can think of at least a million things to write! Once I sit down. Nuthin'. So I'll go with that theme and see what it leads into. I have ADHD so just a warning. If my train of thought is short, or erratic, you'll know why.

I turn forty in a few weeks. I have been looking forward to this time in my life for a long time. I hope it will be a wonderful turning point in my life. I have been trying to do a lot of focusing on me and my thoughts/behaviors etc. to come to some understanding/acceptance of certain things. So i will probably share those as they come along. One of the first is that I am going to stop feeling like I never get anything done. Period. I'm not even gonna say it any more. While at dinner with some of my friends last month, they said, "That's crazy, you always get so much done!" So. I thought about that on the way home and later that night. It must sound whiny and bitchy of me to say that all of the time. And, if I say it, it must be true. Right? So. The next day I decided to forgo my daily "Ten Thousand Things I GOTTA Do Today" list, for a "Things I DID Today" list. Wow. That is all I can say. Over forty things! I wrote down everything, and I was truly astonished. So now every day I try to make a short list (less than 5 things) that I should try to do, and am grateful and happy and proud of all of the things I do do.

I am making healthy changes in my and my family's diet. Guess what, I am the one who does the shopping and buys any crap that is in this house. Go figure. Somehow I had this feeling is was some naughty gnome bringing it while I was asleep. Dang. Another thing for me to suck up and own. I'm gonna do it too! While I would love to just throw out all of the offending food (1)it is not financially feasible at this time (2) I won't be able to stick with it if I go whole hog. So I am on a grocery boycott (except for fresh fruits and veggies) until we use up all of this stuff. Then replacing it with healthier happier food! Well, that's the plan, and I'm sticking to it!

Oh yeah. I'm thinking about exercise. Seriously. I am!
